A sofa I couldn’t resist.
Check out this old ad featuring Kroehler. The coloring of the sofa is the same as the featured one in the ad, though the shape looks more like the one in the bottom right corner. It looks like the original had a skirt, though that’s long gone. It’s from the Barclay line, made in the late 1950s.
It’s a classic look that’s in style even today. The neutral olive green/taupe color fits into almost any home. It’s got a tufted back with buttons that’s quite trendy today. When I stumbled upon this couch, I couldn’t believe it’s great condition. Considering it was made in the late 1950s, I’d have imagined more wear and tear. There was none. It was probably kept in the “fancy” living room, where people would only sit if there was a special occasion with guests; hence it’s wonderful condition.
